I think our society would be much better off if schools and universities would focus more on training people to specialize in one particular field, instead of having everyone learn certain things that they are never going to use.
Trade schools do this for the most part. However, colleges and schools have a long way to go. The jack of all trades is the master of none. I believe that this, in turn, hurts our workforce.
Specialization is important.
